Canadian-Jamaican Billionaire Investor and Philanthropist, Hon. Michael Lee-Chin O.J., Chairman of the Economic Growth Council in Jamaica, was the Special Guest Speaker at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, co-hosted by the Jamaican Chamber of Commerce of Atlanta (JAMCHAM). Mr Lee-Chin is the Chairman of Portland Holdings Inc., a privately-held investment company which owns a collection of diversified operating companies; and Chairman of the National Commercial Bank of Jamaica.
At the helm, Mr. Lee-Chin has established investment philosophies and guiding principles for each of the companies under Portland. They are committed to “Building Strong Indigenous Businesses” under the mantra of “Prosperitas Cum Caritate” – which in Latin means “not only do well but also do good”
